چکیده

The study was carried out to evaluate the combining ability and heterosis of seven parents their 21 half-diallel F2 populations for yield quality traits during 2013-14 season in randomized complete block design with three replications. Significant differences were observed among genotypes, GCA (general ability) SCA (specific effects all traits, except spike length. best combiner identified as Esperia Pehlivan grain yield, Flamura85, Aldane Selimiye because significant per se performance. ranges parent -12.71 8.23% plant height, -15.46 8.36% length, -16.62 24.80% number grains spike, -23.61 36.50% weight -17.13 8.84% harvest index -44.26 15.83 -17.61 8.38% thousand weight, -18.55 8.44% wet gluten content, -33.80 24.78% index, -20.24 15.23% Zeleny sedimentation value, -15.58 10.00% -8.96 6.87 protein content. Diallel analysis of some important Morpho-Phenological traits in bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) crosses

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is the most important food crop. It offers a great wealth of material for genetic studies due to its wide ecological distribution. The effects of GCA and SCA of morpho-phenological traits i.e. days to emergence, days to flowering, days to maturity, flag leaf length, grain filling duration, spike weight per plant, stem weight and grain yield were studied uti...

Genetic analysis of plant height and its components in diallel crosses of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

An incomplete diallel cross study comprising of seven bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) cultivars was carried out with parents and F1 progeny to determine heterosis, combining ability, gene action, and correlations for plant height and its components. The results showed that heterosis and heterobeltiosis occurred in plant height, spike length, peduncle length, length of the second internode fr...

biplot and heterosis analysis for diallel crosses of bread wheat (triticum aestivum l.) under normal and salt-stressed environments

salinity is one of the abiotic stresses and exploitation of heterosis could increase the crop yield and extend the stress tolerance, especially in salinity stress. in this research, a set of full diallel design involving 7×7 crosses from cultivars including flat, bam, ghods, roshan, arg, kavir and pishtaz were conducted in a randomized complete block design with three replications under both no...

Characterization and Expression of High Temperature Stress Responsive Genes in Bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

To elucidate the effects of high temperatures, wheat plants (Triticum aestivum cv. CPAN 1676) were given heat shocks at 37°C and 42°C for two hours, and responsive genes were identified through PCR-Select Subtraction technology. Four subtractive cDNA libraries, including three forward and one reverse subtraction, were constructed from three different developmental stages. A total of 5500 ESTs w...
